Riverside Cabin with Fishing, Swimming & Rowboat

A cozy cabin—a converted mobile home—situated right by a river. There is excellent fishing available just outside the cabin, and the river’s natural pools are perfect for swimming.

Outside, you’ll find a seating area complete with a fire pit. The view over the river adds a wonderful, cozy atmosphere to late summer evenings.

A rowboat is available near the river mouth, a short distance from the cabin. Dogs are welcome.

A pleasant mobile-home-style cabin, complete with a rowboat and excellent fishing opportunities. It is beautifully situated right by a river—perfect for summer, fishing, and swimming. The river is teeming with fish, and in previous years, many large specimens weighing several kilos have been caught here, alongside plenty of smaller fish.

A fire pit outside the cabin creates a cozy atmosphere for late evenings, accompanied by the sound of birdsong and the rushing water of the river.

This simple, charming mobile home is ideal for those who enjoy being close to nature and don’t mind a more basic standard of accommodation.

It features electricity, running water, and a shower. The cabin includes an entryway, one bedroom with two single beds, and one bedroom with a double bed. There is a bathroom equipped with a toilet and a standard shower.

The living room contains a sofa and a dining table, with a view overlooking the river. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking, featuring a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a stove with two burners, and a small oven.

The tap water is safe to drink.

A terrace wraps around three sides of the cabin and is furnished with a dining table and chairs. The sandy ground surrounding the cabin adds to the pleasant summer atmosphere.

This cabin is perfect for nature lovers who do not require high-end amenities.

Please note that the terrain leading to the river is somewhat steep on one side, so it may not be suitable for small children. Otherwise, there is easy access down to the river and its natural swimming pools.

Fishing permits can be purchased for specific sections of the river—including the area by the cabin and near the river mouth, where the rowboat is located. The river has proven to be an excellent spot for fishing, with an abundant fish population. Fishing permits can be purchased at the cabin; payment must be made in cash.

Firewood is also available for purchase at the cabin; payment can be made via Vipps or in cash.

You are welcome to use the cabin’s rowboat and canoe, located right by the river mouth—about a 5-minute walk from the cabin. Please bring your own life jackets. Use of the rowboat and canoe is at your own risk.

Fishing permits and firewood are purchased from the landowner.

Fishing: NOK 50 per person per day (for those over 16).

Fishing: NOK 200 per person for 5 days or more.

Firewood: NOK 100 per sack.

Dogs are allowed.

It is approximately 15 km to Åseral Kyrkjebygda, which offers a shop, a gas station, the Minne Cultural Centre, and more.

The municipality of Åseral features beautiful natural scenery and a wide variety of hiking trails.

The view of the river and the atmosphere around the cabin are simply wonderful—you can hear the birds singing and the sound of the waterfall. Imagine taking the rowboat out on the river and feeling a fish tugging at your line... Welcome! :)

The water level in the river can vary significantly—ranging from calm, quiet days to periods of high water with the audible rush of the current.

The boat and canoe are available from May 15th to September 15th.
